This page explains how to delete your data and how to close your account entirely. You do not need to install the app or sign in to read it.
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately, with no waiting period and no request queue.
The same button exists on the web at mrpolaris.com, in the same Settings panel.
What this erases immediately
What this does not erase
To remove the login itself along with everything in Section 1, write to us:
hello@mrpolaris.com, subject line Delete my account, from the e-mail address you signed up with.
Sending it from the address on the account is how we confirm the request is yours; if you cannot, tell us and we will verify another way rather than acting on an unverified request. We action these within 30 days and confirm by e-mail when it is done. In practice it is usually the same working day.
Closing the account removes, in addition to everything in Section 1, your authentication record and e-mail address, so the address can be used to register again from scratch.
One record survives this and we would rather name it than bury it: an administrative log line recording that the deletion happened, which contains the date, the account identifier and the e-mail address the request came from. Data protection law requires us to be able to show what we did with a deletion request, and that line is how we show it. It holds nothing else about you.
Deleting your data does not by itself cancel billing, and we would rather say so plainly than let anyone find out on their next statement.
Cancel first, at mrpolaris.com, under Account and then Manage subscription, which opens the billing portal. Alternatively write to hello@mrpolaris.com and ask us to cancel; if you ask us to close the account under Section 2 we cancel any active subscription as part of that.
Payment records themselves are held by our payment processor and are kept for the period tax and accounting law requires. We cannot delete those on request, and neither can any merchant.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Deletion marker: account created, trial started, erased at | Stops delete-and-re-register free-trial abuse | For as long as the Service operates |
| Administrative deletion log entry: date, account identifier, e-mail address | Accountability under data protection law | No fixed period; it is the record that the deletion happened |
| Payment and invoice records held by our payment processor | Tax and accounting law | As required by law, typically 7 years |
| Analytics data | Product measurement | Google Analytics retention settings, currently 14 months |
| Server logs that may contain an IP address | Security and abuse investigation | Typically 30 to 90 days, per hosting provider policy |
Nothing in this table contains your birth data or any report we generated for you. Those are gone at step 1.
You can also decide how long we keep anything at all, without deleting something today. In Settings, the retention control sets an inactivity period: by default a chart is kept for one year from the last time you open it, and each visit restarts that clock. You can change it to six months, to one week, or to never delete automatically. When the period expires, the chart and everything derived from it, including the cached report and any generated PDF, is deleted for you.
Write to hello@mrpolaris.com. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
